North York Condo

A Pharmacist downsized from a house into a bright and spacious condo. The existing walls meant the kitchen was stuck with little light. The bathrooms were dated and so were the floors. Other custom flourishes were added and in the end the condo feels open yet comfortable and private.

Kitchen

The only thing that was saved in this kitchen was the beautiful sub-zero fridge. Everything else is new, including all the pot lights which we installed throughout the unit. The colour scheme is bright and modern and really plays into the full wall of windows on the west side. The quartz island countertop provides an excellent place to sit and cook with a few friends or to enjoy a coffee.

As you can see the kitchen was once closed off from the rest of the unit. This poses a problem when entertaining and for simple aesthetics and flow. It was a obvious decision to remain this room.

After the transformation was complete there was now plenty of space for a larger kitchen with a small pantry and a desk for charging phones and a knick knack drawer, because everyone needs a knick knack drawer. The island was also designed to play host to two or even possibly three bar seats.

Above - This bathroom was extremely dated with tacky green marble and all. We replaced it with a doorless pan style shower complete with a bench and a nook.

Below - The awkward angles of this condo meant that we kept the shape of the room and maximized design to space. We added a floating shelf as a second vanity area on top of the cornered sink. We also added a pocket door to maximize space.

The clients second bathroom may not be used quite as often, but it got the full upgrader treatment as well. From a new tuba nd fixture, new tile throughout, a new vanity, and a floating shelf that breaks up a vanity to ceiling mirror. This modest bathroom feels much larger than it once did
